1. Company Information

These Terms & Conditions govern your use of Mamajuana Travel's website and services. Mamajuana Travel (established 2011) is a licensed tour operator based in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, registered with the Ministerio de Turismo de la Republica Dominicana. By booking a tour or excursion through our website or via any of our representatives, you agree to be bound by these terms.

2. Services

Mamajuana Travel provides tours, excursions, transportation, and related travel services throughout the Dominican Republic. We act as an operator organizing and delivering experiences led by our certified local guides. Some services may involve third-party providers (hotels, venues, transport companies) whose own terms may also apply.

3. Booking & Reservations

  • Confirmation: Your booking is confirmed once payment is received and you receive a confirmation email from Mamajuana Travel.
  • Accuracy: Please ensure all traveler information (names, dates, participant counts) is accurate at the time of booking. Errors may affect service delivery.
  • Modifications: Date changes are subject to availability. Changes requested more than 48 hours before the tour are accepted at no extra cost. Changes within 48 hours are subject to our cancellation policy.
  • Group sizes: Minimum and maximum group sizes apply to certain tours. We reserve the right to cancel or merge tours that do not meet minimum participant requirements, and will notify you as soon as possible if this occurs.

4. Payment Terms

  • Payment method: We accept payments via PayPal, which also allows payment with major credit and debit cards.
  • Full payment: Full payment is required at the time of booking to secure your reservation, unless a deposit option is explicitly offered.
  • Currency: All prices are listed and charged in US Dollars (USD).
  • Price changes: Prices displayed at checkout are final for that booking session. We reserve the right to adjust prices for future bookings without prior notice.

5. Cancellation Policy

Our full cancellation and refund policy is detailed on our Refund & Cancellation Policy page. In summary:

  • Free cancellation up to 24 hours before the tour — full refund.
  • Cancellations within 24 hours of the tour — no refund.
  • No-shows — no refund.
  • If we cancel a tour (weather, minimum participants not met) — full refund or reschedule offered.

6. Liability Limitations

Mamajuana Travel takes every reasonable precaution to ensure the safety and enjoyment of your experience. However, we cannot be held liable for:

  • Acts of nature (hurricanes, flooding, earthquakes) or force majeure events beyond our control.
  • Delays or disruptions caused by third-party service providers.
  • Personal injury, illness, loss, or damage to personal belongings unless caused by gross negligence on our part.
  • Local conditions, road closures, or government-imposed restrictions that affect tour delivery.

Our maximum liability to you shall not exceed the total amount paid for the affected service.

7. Customer Responsibilities

  • Valid ID: All travelers must carry valid government-issued identification. Non-Dominican nationals must carry their passport or valid travel document.
  • Medical conditions: Please inform us of any medical conditions, allergies, or disabilities that may affect your participation. Some activities have physical requirements.
  • Fitness level: Certain adventure tours require a reasonable level of physical fitness. Participation is at your own risk if you have not disclosed relevant health information.
  • Conduct: Disruptive or unsafe behavior may result in removal from the tour without refund.
  • Punctuality: Please arrive at the departure point at the scheduled time. We cannot delay tours for late arrivals.

8. Intellectual Property

All content on the Mamajuana Travel website — including text, photographs, videos, logos, and trademarks — is the property of Mamajuana Travel or used with permission. You may not reproduce, distribute, or use our content for commercial purposes without prior written consent.

9. Privacy

Your personal data is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

10. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Dominican Republic. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic.

11. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Updated terms will be posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
